I have lived in Fishers for about 10 years now, and I can safely say that it is a wonderful town to belong to. Although Fishers is one of the fastest growing towns in the nation, it also has a sweet, homey feel to it. One of my favorite parts of town is a place I like to call "downtown Fishers," which mainly consists of the main street that comes into town. The street is paved with a picturesque brick sidewalk paralleling it. As you walk through town, you will see modern industry such as a Super Target as well as family owned restaurants and shops. The center of town holds the post office, fire station, and library, as well as the town hall which hosts many events year round that folks of Fishers come to enjoy.
When I was younger, every weekend I would ride my bike to downtown Fishers to look in the shops, rent books from the library, or buy candy from Super Target. Since then, the town has grown exponentially. Our school district now boasts 2 high schools, 3 junior highs, 4 middle schools, and upwards of 15 elementary schools. Even though Fishers has become so heavily populated over the past years, there are still small, friendly communities within the larger one. I love the neighborhood that I live in because everyone is so nice. A typical day during summertime might consist of a swim at the neighborhood pool, or a walk down the street to a family owned custard stand. Although Fishers might not boast the big city flair, it is a big town with a big heart, and I am happy to call it my home.
There is so much to do in and around Fishers! If you want to learn more please visit the town website at http://www.fishers.in.us.

WRZX 103.3 is a great radio station in Fishers, which delivers an amazing rock format. They spotlight new artists as well as throwing in some older songs every once in awhile. As far as rock stations go, X103 definitely has the widest range. You could tune in and hear anything from AC/DC's "Back in Black" to the newest Linkin Park song. The station also gives news updates every hour, on the hour. This includes news in the celebrity world, local news, national news, as well as odd news stories from around the world. It also sponsors many local contests and fundraisers, keeping X103 fully involved with the Fishers community.
